The hogla leaf is 4 to 6ft tall and it is a sea or riversides grass. The artisan collects it and washes, sun-dried, hand spanned and then weave the basket by hand.
We have used standard rods as a frame and colored the rods. Also recently we covered the rods with hogla leaves. It is very strong, durable and versatile uses. We produce two sizes and can produce more smaller.
Please note that as these baskets are all handmade that each one varies slightly in individual size.
