Fourteen years ago(2004), I came to the realization that my daily actions could potentially have a devastating bang toward helpless people specially women and earth. So I set out on a mission to find out what changes I can make as individuals and consumers to live more ethically with purpose and leave a positive bang towards poor people specially women and our LOVING earth.

I had no idea where this path would take me or what it looked like…yet here I am today, still strong and continue to grow. I know as individuals I have all the power to create positive impact and legacy.

I had observed the poverty and the life of the poor villagers, especially the underprivileged women. I wanted to change the situation but without providing direct financial support in order to avoid economic dependency.

Some young(boys and girls) who guides and leads me and Mrs. Nomita was one of them. That time she got married …very young …very talkative, can write her name only and said she will help me every sphere…I was smiling to hear from her. She is very skilled and master in braided items. She is working as field animator. She built a big and beautiful home from the gift of a Lady who is the owner of Siham Craftlink, Brisbane, Australia.

Never ever forget “Trades of Hope” of Florida, USA. It has given a new life and made stronger foundation and status.

SHOHOJOGITA brings together communities of people and enterprises with purpose, an event that has over the years brought together many of customers and many coworkers and staff-members to make this organization such a great platform. SHOHOJOGITA is a member of Fair Trade Organization and Banglacraft(Bangladesh handicrafts manufacturers & exporters association).

Many of my friends and family have volunteered and dedicated their time to support this initiative including my three beautiful daughters……Shakee Barbara, Shachee Bernaba and shuvechha Immaculate. I have met so many very courageous and passionate people and getting continues advises, suggestions and active cooperation.

I am not hesitating to mention the names of Mrs. Pam McGann of Siham Craftlink and Mrs.Jenifer Evans of Australia. Mrs. Pam is the focal heart of SHOHOJOGITA. A great and pioneer lady who has developed almost 80% of the products and buying the products since 2006.

We focus on producers development through work opportunities, health support for the families, capacity building of human resources. There is no any discrimination on gender, color, caste, and creed, the organization is completely non-political, non-communal and belief on Fair Trade Movement.

I thank you everyone who has been supporting SHOHOJOGITA over the years and look forward to all your continuing support.
