There are hardly any women on the streets in rural Bangladesh. They spend most of their everyday lives in their homes. In this situation, the woman is economically dependent on a man and excluded from many areas of public life. The result is often a sense of inferiority.
The principal vision is to help the rural poor, widowed, divorced, and helpless women by creating employment for them.
SHOHOJOGITA was started to give women an opportunity for a better life. We collaborate with artisans and organizations helping women in difficult circumstances in Bangladesh, specially rural women ONLY.
